Parkour Style Competition

Run, jump, fly.

Style is a parkour competition where competitors demonstrate their ability to create, execute, and perform a series of moves in a cohesive run integrating obstacles, and are judged on a variety of criteria involving execution, composition, and difficulty. This series of movements is called a Flowrun or a Line. Lines are a connected sequence of skills that flow into one another, showing off an athlete’s style abilities.

There are two formats for this competition: Flow and Trick. All five divisions will have the Flow format. Only the Advanced Division will additionally have the Trick format.

Flow

Athletes will use their personal style of movement and skills to create 1-3 unique 15-30 second Line.

Judging Criteria

• Execution - how cleanly a move was executed. The athletes control their body to perform the moves with grace and intention. The landing technique can vary depending on the athlete’s composition and connections.

• Composition - the variety of moves used, how the competitor chooses to interact with the environment, and how they choose to connect their moves.

• Difficulty - how hard it is to connect moves, the skill level required to be able to perform the moves, and the environment in which the moves were done.

Big Trick

Athletes will practice adapting, improving, and perfecting 3 attempts of their most impressive skills through a 5-second line.

Judging Criteria

• Execution - how cleanly a move was executed. The athletes control their body to perform the moves with grace and intention. The landing technique can vary depending on the athlete’s composition and connections.
