Part-Time Photography/Social Media Intern (Unpaid)

We're looking for someone with a strong interest in or has played around with photography and/or social media. This person can work with a flexible/startup culture and they will learn how to use a camera, develop photos in Lightroom (and maybe Photoshop), be given guidance on capturing some awesome action shots (and short videos with GoPro & GoPro editor) like the ones below, and source/publish online content for our Facebook page. Once you get comfortable with this role, you can take the role and run with it, or you can just help with ongoing tasks like stockpiling our photos.

This position is great for someone to test their interest in photography/social media and use this role as a stepping stone for their next endeavor. Anyone interested in taking the role further than what we teach them should be a self-learner, but we can point out some good places to start.

Requirements & Other Things

High school graduate (or equivalent) required, college preferred. This role is entry-level that will last till the end of September with the possibility to continue. Depending on when this person starts, it will be a 3-month duration. Applicants must have access to a computer that can run Lightroom/Photoshop. We will provide all photography materials including a DSLR camera, lens, a GoPro, and Photoshop/Lightroom & GoPro subscription access. This person will spend a couple hours each week taking photos, editing them, and sourcing suitable parkour content. This part-time position is based in Omaha.

Bells, Perks, & Whistles

  • Learn to do parkour! You'll get access to free classes and training.
  • Flexible schedules and minimal hours. This role will take a couple hours each week and is partially dependent on how much you want to work. You'll learn a good amount in a few hours.
  • Learn more about the industry. We'll keep you updated on what's happening in the industry, information on jams/events, competitions, and retreats.
  • See how we operate. Learn our processes, history, challenges, and get experience on our business model and how we hustle.
  • Learn how social advertising works. Sister to social media, we'll teach you how advertising works if you're interested.
  • Parkour Culture. We're a team which means team training sessions, training locations, social events (annual grillouts, bon fires, etc.), training support, and more.
  • Prospective coaching position. If you have an interest in getting into parkour or considering coaching by the time you exit this internship, this is a good shadowing opportunity.
